This year’s annual Undergraduate Placement Awards, hosted by the Cardiff Business School, saw the incredible achievements of many Cardiff students celebrated. The awards are dedicated to the outstanding achievements of students who have contributed to the success of businesses on a local, national or global scale, and recognises the dedication and professionalism of students on placement, as well as the support provided by their employers.
This year the response to the awards was exceptional, with 51 students submitting applications that demonstrated the impact their work had during their placements.
From a high standard across the board, 20 finalists were chosen, and awards were presented to four outstanding winners, with three students achieving highly commended awards. Miss Catherine Williams, Undergraduate Placements Officer, says “We are exceptionally proud of the way in which our Placement Students represent the Business School and wider university when undertaking an internship; the Placement Awards highlight the incredible feats these students achieve year upon year.”
